Wax Carving: Make a Cast Silver Ring

  • WORK/SHOP 6429 W. North Avenue Wauwatosa, WI (map)

$250.00

In this workshop taught by local goldsmith and jewelry designer Emily Klopstein, students will be introduced to the first step in the lost wax casting process - carving a wax. Students will be guided in using additive and reductive techniques to create either one wide ring or two smaller rings (think stackers, BFF rings, or wedding bands!)

Your finished wax will then be taken to Emily’s Bayview studio to be cast in sterling silver and polished to a shiny, lustrous finish. The finished rings will be ready for pickup at WORK/SHOP in a maximum of two weeks.

The option to add flush set gemstones to your ring(s) will be available at an additional separate cost. A selection of small stones will be available to choose from, and they will be expertly set by Emily.
